Check the link http://content.icicidirect.com/MutualFund/getfundcategory.asp. I assume they provide the same.
Just that some NRI under PIS schemes were disalowed for Gold ETF, that was long ago. Not sure of the status now.
You need to provide the correct code for it.

Gold MF can be bought like any shares that you buy through your share broker. You need a demat account and a trading account to buy the Gold MF. These Mutual Funds are different from other MF as they are EFT and listed on exchanges. So buy it using your demat account.
